    8800gt problem

    Hi everyone

I recently received a new one inno3D 8800GT, but running with some issues. Before I start moving into the problems , my motherboard is 1.0a pci-e, do i need to go for the 1.1 ? Because my problem is the 8800GT is not facilitating with the display signal to the monitor at any specific stage, from turning the machine on all method through the loading of windows vista !

Any suggestions would be appreciated ?

I was just visiting the EVGA site and one of the user getting the same issue. I explained my story about having a 7800gs when they first came out. The same thing, I have used the entire thing, after all I inserted the Windows xp disk and booted to it.The Windows installation came up. I had to make the reinstallation of Windows xp and after that never had any issue again. Those guys blew me off and told two users to RMA their cards. They were 8800gt's also.

You need to just go for the installation through the vista disk, I am not saying that it was some magical with the Windows XP. In case, If it is a worst card, then you will be a little closer with the RMA. I hope not. Also, are you running with a monitor connected into the left digital out put on the card ?

I know, it seems so annoying and it may indicate that there is nothing in this situation but, just trying to help, in the excitement of having the card, you may have forgotten little bit .....

It may not feasible but at least you used to do this , there are a lot of components it should be, from a bad seat with the video card...etc. Just move back via your installation procedure, you will find the issue . I can not believe that all of these card companies released worst cards for sale. I am sure that the 7900gt had a serious issue with the vram when it got released, I had purchased one for the same build and ended up taking it back and having a 7950gt than has run great for near about 10 months.

I am not getting what actually you wanted to make about using Windows vista bootable disk ?I ma running with the installation of Windows vista and it is going very well . When I inserted my x1600 then I got an image on the monitor. when I connect the 8800gt in system executes as the normal procedure, but the monitor doesn't show the signal in the entire way from power on..

I am unable to get with the help of a disk if it would POST but not display anything while Windows was in the process of booting. It happens to me also when I am working with the Microsoft version of the graphics drivers. To resolve this out , I have just performed the uninstallation from safe-mode and then after making the installation of NVidia drivers. Maybe that is not the same thing as what the rest of you are discussing about the same .

Hi you all,I have just got a hold of a XFX 8800GT alpha dog edition and I am unable to perform the installation of the card right.

One of my friends who was using the same before told that one day when he booted his computer, the monitor didn't move on and he easily replaced the card. When I tried the card, windows introduced the 640x480 resolution and 16bit colors. my screen was getting littered with a grid of dots and after performing the installation of the driver, there is nothing getting changed .
