    Laptop screen to HD TV

So I'm having lots of issues with connecting my laptop to my tv lately... I was able to connect fine for about 2 weeks through my HDMI cord then the other day when I connected the hdmi cord to my tv both my laptop screen goes off completely and the television screen shows No Signal still.... only after I disconnect the cable from my laptop does the screen come back... the only thing I did before this all happened was I was adjusting the display settings earlier, the resolution, but I've done this plenty of times before and it was fine... I don't know... I also tried another HDMI cord... same result... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

(My laptop is a Dell Studio 1537 with 64 bit Vista operating system and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series video card if that matters for anything)

Try using DVI to HDMI cable. Your laptop must be having a DVI port where you can connect this cable from the HDMI port of the HD TV. Using a DVI to HDMI cable can assure you the connectivity that you can expect for HD movies.
