Samsung LA40B650 Internet and DLNA Issues

I am running multiple DLNA servers with a very partial success. The most success I have had that was with Twonkey and I have actually managed to watch a movie. I have tried Serviio, Playstation Media Server and of-course Samsung PC Share Manager v2.33.I have never gotten the Samsung one to work, even if I tried it with the Firewall completely disabled.


What am I missing with LA40B650 Internet or DLNA ?

I think you are getting this problem because of the Gateway Ping Failure. You are getting this maybe your wireless router could be out of range, or may be the network traffic may be high, or it can because you are using a slow network speed. Any one of these could be an problem.

For the problem of PC Share Manager, try to set the device policy and then make your files available in the list, then right-clicked your shared folders and then check "property" so that the files which are available can be shared.

I have tested the network and it is working fine. But if I plug my laptop in the same router as the TV I am able to access the home network and Internet without any problem. Laptop access is also not having any issue, the only problem is with TV.
Now for the share manager, I have already se the device policy and also added the shared files. But when I try to access it through TV menu it display loading and then Media play disconnects.

For the problem of Domain Ping, just make sure that the internet protocol, gateway, and DNS information is correctly filled in the Samsung device. It will better if you call the router company they can provide you with the best information, I mean the correct information for communicating with the router. I hope this will help you.

I have recently bought the Samsung LA40B650 TV but I am facing trouble while playing video, music and also while playing pictures over DLNA.
I have stored the videos, music and pictures on my Popcorn Hour A110 and that is connected to my home network. The PCH A110 is designed in such a way that it is able to automatically serves content through DLNA.

I am impressed with the LA40B650, the USB media playback and DLNA support is fantastic but I am having the issue with the Samsung PC Share Manager. I am able to view the shared pictures and the music but the movies gives a "! Request cannot be completed MEDIA PLAY with return to the main screen" message. Anyone ideas on this one?

I am also having one issue with the Samsung 46" LN750 series TV I am suffering with the case that my TV is able to play the videos but it can not play the audio files via DLNA interface that has been set up in my LAN. But if I am placing the same video on the USB flash then it can be played smoothly from there on my TV. I am able to get the video and also the audio. I do not know what is the reason for that?
