GTX260 sli vs GTX295 Graphics Cards

I want to upgrade the graphics card in my gaming computer, but I came upon this problem : GTX 260 SLI vs. GTX 295 Which one is best? I was thinking of buying the new GTX 295 with high PCI Express bandwidth , or get the GTX260+ in SLI and go with a nforce board.

GTX 260 is a much better buy, It is only 10% Slower and cheaper. 192 Processing Cores and 2nd Generation NVIDIA unified architecture with Full Microsoft DirectX 10 support.The graphics processor driving the GTX 275—a 55nm mash-up somewhere between the GeForce GTX 280 and 260—sports the same configuration found in the company’s GeForce GTX 295.

The Nvidia GTX 295 is a very large looking black card, with a very distinctive design on its outer casing to make it stand out from the other cards. The card itself takes a radically different approach to that of ATI's 'two chips on one board'.In actual fact, the GTX 295 isn't quite two fully-fledged GTX 280s in so much as the clock speeds of the two chips have been lowered to the same as that of the GTX 260.

The GeForce GTX 285 and GeForce GTX 295 are NVIDIA's first consumer-based GPUs manufactured at a 55nm fabrication process. The 295 will have a lower power requirement and hopefully less heat in the end as well as opposed to the 2x260 in sli... just something else to consider. Plus you can always add another 295 in the future....

Nvidia also offers a 4-way multi-GPU solution called Quad SLI. The Quad SLI subsystem will be assembled out of two identical cards: Gainward GTX 295 1792MB and Gigabyte GV-N295-18I-B. The GTX 295 is impressive, but Quad SLI can really show a card and drivers’ faults.
