    GTX 280 System Crash error

I am experiencing a strange issue in my Computer. I have a GTX 280 Geforce Nvidia GPU. The system crashes which playing Age of Conan, Eve Online and COD 4. I had not tried any other game yet. The card is old but not degraded. The temperature remains normal. Why this happened. I updated the driver and downloaded a emulator. Now I am facing a pink screen at the time of playing COD 4. The entire system is crashing. I was thing to overclock it but in normal mode it is crashing. Any suggestions would really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here are some listed solutions for your requirement. There can be multiple reasons behind crashing of the card. Try some of this and hope this can help you. First upgrade your BIOS, reinstalled your video driver again then remove video drivers. After that go to nvidia site and download and installed latest drivers. Remove additional RAM if your have and try to run the system with single. If you have single then change the slot. Update DirectX.

Does your system has enough powersupply. Just open the case and check out. GPU has crashed normally due to corrupt drivers or insufficient power supply. If your power supply is lesser than 500w then it is the time to upgrade it. GPUS' eats more power from the system. The more high end graphic game you play the more power is needed by the GPU fan to remove the heat. So due to heating the GPU crashed. Just check out the PSU unit and try to replace it.

The problem can be due to faulty card, PSU issue and driver issue. So here you can start with drivers. Remove the old drivers and download the latest one. Then try back again. Update video drivers of your system also. Try to put an proper emulator like opengl. Second thing check that your game is installed properly without any error. The sound and video is working fine. Then second check the powers supply. Read your GPU manual and identify the amount of power supply needed. If nothing works and problem is frequent then contact the service center.
