Line across LCD monitor

I have a Philips LCD monitor. Suddenly there is black line that has just appeared on the screen. Its 22 inch widescreen lcd monitor. I am not ready to give any investment now, so any suggestions are welcomed. Would love if some one can help me here. Thanks in advance.

A normal and simple fix will be to clean dusting , it can be heat issue, check if its still under warranty, if it is under warranty then go for the replacement.

Try flipping the computers resolution setting to see if the line moves. If it does, chances are you have a dead row in the video RAM.If you can see the line before you see anything to do with windows or you see it in the BIOS then it is probably a whole row of pixels that have died. If it's this then there's no known cure as far as I know, it's time to live with it or replace the lcd panel.
