No TV signal for digital channel

I was getting a digital tv channel but now if I select this channel then there is no TV signal message that is displayed. I have checked that the HD tuners are working fine with me. I have got a TV program from the tuner's manufacturer that can be used to detect this channel and display it. This program was used to detect other stations and show them as well, but Media Center Edition doesnt seems to get the signal strength for these channels that the manufacturer's program does. I am running Windows XP Media Center 2005 and have 2 Pinnacle HD Pro Sticks? Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I have faced this problem as well on HD OTA channel with good signal strength. I think that Media Center software reports as 'no signal' digital broadcasts that do not conform to a strict protocol type specification when signal strength is not the issue. There is a Knowledge Base article about this searched as "no tv signal."

Thanks for the information. I have got some kind of a tool that lets me know the information about the channel that I am missing and I dont see much that is different. I even checked at the XML file generated by the guide and it is using the same channel and the station call letters look fine as well. I dont know now what other things to look at.

You can try to go to some websites like antennaweb or tvfool website and put in your zip code. Then it will give you a lost of the local stations and what channel they usually transmit and where to aim the antenna. The first website will also help you to choose the correct antenna for the location where you live.
