problem with Atheros AR3012 bluetooth card settings

I am using a laptop that is running on Windows 8.1 operating system and it also came with a Qualcomm Artheros AR3012 Bluetooth card onboard. Whenever I used to connect any bluetooth devices like mouse or keyboard then it used to get connected but soon it gets disconnected and the cycle continues. So, I went to the official website of Asus and downloaded the latest bluetooth drivers. After installing the driver I am not able to connect any bluetooth device to this laptop and I cannot even access the bluetooth settings. Does anyone know how this problem can be solved? Thanks

Can you try to turn off bluetooth and then turn it on again from PC settings and then check if the bluetooth settings option in the quick launch works or not. I also dont know whether your Artheros AR3012 is supported by any other bluetooth stack but you can try to check if the software called BlueSoleil supports your AR3012 and if there is any stack issue then a driver could help you out for sure.

Even I was facing some problem with bluetooth and Windows 8.1 on my laptop and the only fix for this issue was to update the bluetooth drivers. I also think that there is Artheros Bluetooth adapter in my laptop. I was able to get the bluetooth drivers from my laptops manufacturer website and after installing it, I was able to connect to my phone and it was staying connected without any problem. So, you should check your laptop's manufacturer website for updated bluetooth drivers and download the correct ones for your laptop model.
