Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card not being detected by PC

I recently purchased a Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card to get a good sound effect in my home theater system which is connected to my PC. I attached the sound card on the motherboard of my PC and started my computer. On starting my computer, I tried playing a song to tests its quality, but the software didn’t emit a sound. I checked the device manager and it showed sound card attached to my motherboard. Even BIOS menu had sound card listed in it. I checked the hardware to see if any pin was broken or dysfunctional, but hardware was good, nothing wrong was found. Can anyone tell me what the reason for such error is? Can someone tell me how to solve it?

Have you tried connecting the sound card using the DTS connection? Using this you can avoid the encoding process of the sound card and directly pass the sound to amplifier and other speakers. Without this connection, the sound card encodes the output in its own format by optimizing the sound waves and its components. You can also use a SPDIF connection for using he soundcard. You won’t find much difference between the sound generated by on board sound card and this mode of sound card. This too will avoid the encoding of sound and directly pass the sound to amplifier.

This issue can be related to PID detection of your sound card. This is necessary for defining the pitch of the sound, without this the sound card will be worthless. Maybe you need to upgrade the existing firmware in you sound card. This might solve your problem. Also check if the PAX drivers of your sound card are working fine or not. They too can give rise to such issues. You can also try updating the drivers for this sound card.
