WD Black Caviar SATA3 HDD makes higher noise than SATA2

From the long time I have been a WD customer and happy till now. I want to upgrade my system which has ASUS P5K PRO SATA2 motherboard. Currently I have installed 2x WD black series 500GB but I would like to upgrade them to 2x black series 1TB hard drives. But somewhere I have read that there is a higher noise produced by the latest 1TB Black SATA3. It is some kind of disappointing issue when compared with the previous version. As an alternative, I can go for Velociraptor but it also makes some noise.

So now I'm thinking that the noise is caused when confused the processor utilization between different states and back. I honestly cannot imagine that it is up to the cables. The SATA cable lying on the motherboard and the power cord is included AC adapter. The same thing occurred to me now that the two SSD SATA 3 cables connected to the motherboard.

Conventional hard disks do not make use of the speed that can be advantageous SATA600 and SATA300. In other words, it does not matter if the hard disk develops a SATA600 or SATA300 connection, as it works on both of the standards quickly. It does not make sense to a SATA600 (SATA = 3) hard disk upgrade. But I think that the higher writing speed in SATA 3 causes the HDD to produce more noise than anything.

You're partly wrong. SATA300 (SATA2 =) holds up to 3.0 Gbit / s penetration, which yields a theoretical maximum speed of 300MB / s, because the SATA standard, just like USB two control bits per 8 bits sent. 1 byte consists of 10 bits.

The hard drives are not above the limit of 300MB / s from which SATA600 (= 600MB / s) is useless.

Obviously there is a difference in speed between two different hard disks, but that is, in this case, therefore, not at the connection.

One thing always keep in mind that the Sata600 holds up 6Gbit/600MB per second and SATA300 Can have up to 3Gbit/300MB per second. Hard disks work on average 100MB / s. It does not matter whether you used SATA300 or Sata600. SSDs are generally above the 300MB / s, making Sata600 be useful. Sometimes the SATA3 version of a particular disk is much faster (eg SATA3 vs. Caviar Black 1TB Caviar Black 1TB SATA2). This has not only to do with the change SATA2 ==> SATA3, but rather by the fact that the flatter structure just is improved (Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 has two platters, while the platters has SATA2 variant 3.)

Again SATA3 itself does very little for a mechanical drive that will not just make the difference. It is the rest of the disc itself that determines how fast the disk. There are so many different HDD models with as much performance difference between them. A certain SATA2 HDD can easily outperform a SATA3 HDD. It's very simple, the less the reading head has to move faster, because precisely the movement of the pickup is slow. In disk data densities is higher with the fewer drive platters, while the rotational speed or remains the same (7200RPM). So per unit time, the pickup cover more capacity and thus by definition is more MB / s.
