Unable to print from Windows 7 to Windows Xp Shared Hp Psc 1315 printer

I have Hp psc 1315 printer that connected on windows xp system. i shared this printer on my network. Now i found problem with this shared printer. When i simply try to gives print command on other windows 7 system, Windows Xp Shared Hp Psc 1315 printer not able to print that page. Then i look the printer on my windows 7 system. when i double click on this shared printer icon, it gives error message. Error message is being as "Windows can't find a driver for hp psc 1310 series on the network........" Then i download and install latest HP printer driver on it but it can't work. I need some suggestions that work to fix this printing problem. Can any user already get such problem on shared printer?? If yes, please share your experience. Thanks in advance.

FOr solving this problem, apply below process.

• First go to windows 7 system and Open Control Panel-> Network and Internet.
• Make sure you can see the printer share from the network browsing area in Windows 7.
• FIrst go to Control Panel and clicking on Network and Internet.
• Then hit View network computers and devices option under Network and Sharing Center section.
• DOuble click on the XP machine that connecyed with the printer.
• RIght click on printer and choose connect option, if it present.
• IF you receive “Cannot connect to printer” option, simply go to Control panel-> Devices and Printers-> Add a printer option.
• Follow on screen process to add shared printer.

That's it. It works to fix your printing problem with shared printer.

At the end of above process, you need to install latest printer driver. Use Have Disk or any other official link as a source and install lates printer driver on this windows 7 system. This will be also beneficial for you.

I try this aboue mentioned process, during this adding shared printer process, i never found printer name. How can i get this printer name on my system. Need descriptions over this issue. Thanks for any such suggestions.

If you have not find out the printer name during the shared printer adding process, click on "Windows Update" button. Normally windows 7 shows such kind option. It works to show you the printer brand and model. its an updated printer list. Hence definitely you can find out your shared printer name in that list. Use it and follow remaining process.

Same problem on my network but i can't use such reinstall printer process on my windows 7 system. In this process, i simply go to windows xp system. Then right click on printer and select printer properties option. Hit Ports tab and choose shared printer option. I set it as On. Also i deselect the "Enable bi-directional support" option. It works and finally i was able to fix my shared printer problem. You can also try this simple process. It would be helpful for you.

You can also try this process for alternatively solve your problem. Go to your windows 7 system and open run window. Type \\ip address of desktop or computer name of desktop. New pop up window show you the shared printer name. Open it and make the connection to your printer. IF you already run any firewall program on your system, just disabled this firewall program. That's works to fix your shared printer problem.
