Logitech C910 driver crashes on MAC OS 10.7.2 during Vid HD Call

I have bought Logitech C910 webcam to use on Mac OS 10.7.2., whenever I am having video call on Vid HD my webcam driver crashes. But if I use built-in webcam for video calls there is no problem at all. I don’t understand why this is happening! Please help solving this issue!

Answer1: In order to solve your issue follow the instructions:
    1. If Logitech Vid HD is running, quit the application.
    2. Disconnect your webcam (C910) from your computer.
    3. Uninstall the Logitech Webcam Software from your pc
    4. Now reboot your computer.
    5. Plug in the webcam back in to a USB port on your computer.
    6. Then, connect your computer to the internet by an Ethernet cable.
    7. Launch Logitech Vid HD and sign in.
    8. Go to the "Settings" then "Application & Device Settings" and select the C910 as the webcam and "Save" the change.
    9. After saving all, add the e-mail address vidtest@logitech.com as a friend.
    10. Call the "Vid 2 Min Demo" when it appears as "available".
    11. See if you are able to stay on call. Whenever you face such a problem do this demo test to check consistency.

I followed your steps and it worked properly. I had great chat with my friend for more than 5 minutes. But after sometime when I tried for another call , it isn’t working . test vid call lasted for 2 minutes fine. When called Logitech Revue video chat, it started fine, displayed something like optimizing, displayed HD and crashed. I tried even rebooting but still crashing.

Is this crash occurring without the LWS for Mac installed? Does it occur with other webcams selected too? Please do the following:
    1. Launch the Logitech Vid HD software.
    2. Go to setting and then Application and Device settings.
    3. Click on "Clear Tuning History" and then save all the changes.
    4. Call the "Vid 2 Min Demo" and stay on the call the full 2 minutes.
    5. Now again clear the tuning history again.
    6. Call the revue.
    7. As soon as the call begins ,press the two keyboard keys: "Command" and "S"
    8. “statistic” window will open.
    9. Look at the left side column “sending”.
    10. Check the value in the W*H field as this shows your sending resolution.
    11. Now make a note of sending resolution and keep an eye on it
    12. If Logitech Vid crashes again then note that resolution again .

My, initial resolution was 640x360, and then it changed to 864x480 and got frozen. I tried again after clearing the tuning history. It started with 640x360 and crashed after 5-6 seconds.

This is really weird, try and keep your resolution same. There must be some setting to maintain it. If possible maintain the initial resolution i.e. 640 x360, or 864x480 won’t do any harm.
If you are still having problem then its better you contact Logitech itself.
