Corsair HS1 is not working with Mac OS X

Hi guys

I was planning to buy this headset because was so impressed with this when I used it on my friend’s house so I borrow it from him but it is not functioning on my pc and I am using MAC OS X and his was windows 7 pc so I am guessing this is something to do with the Mac os x can anyone here confirm this as I just to want to invest in the product that is of no use to me in any way please guys I need help on this I would be really glad

I am not sure but when I checked the specs of this handset online I didn’t see anything mentioning about the MAC OS X so I am guessing that this headset is not supportive to the Apple based pc still I m not sure whether it is correct or not

I think this might help you just do the following The drivers that is there are just for windows So just plugging in the headset will not sufficient, You have to go to

1. System preferences
2. Sound
3. Output tab
4. HS-1

I think the same works of the mic adjustment as well hope this will help you

Hey thanks for the reply I really appreciate this it actually works for me but there is one more thing that I would like to know if I change the sound setting for the headset on windows pc will the settings carry over on my MAC pc just like the smcFanControl applications which allow this ?can you tell me that I would really appreciate if you help me on this

Sorry to say I believe you setting won’t carry on from the your windows pc to the your MAC OS X pc by the way my HS1 works fine with both MAC as well as windows pc however I am not getting the 7.1 surround sound on the Mac although to the extent that a stereo headset is concerned it'll work just excellent.

Don’t know why , however I have a same trouble with my headset. You have to just go into

• System prefs
• Sound and mute
• Over there just unmute them to make them work

Have to do this When I desire to make use this and by the way the microphone has more problem than the headphones for me. I’ve take notice of other people contain the similar setback and repair, plus I also familiar with that mine work fine on Windows so it's not a hardware trouble

Can you tell me that does your USB controller OHCI or UHCI?
Because the UHCI has no issue. Save for OHCI has the filled with the duplex issues
Microphone plus speaker can't be make use of at the same time with no full duplex.
after that a USB headset can't be make use of with OHCI.

What I suggest is if you wish for to make use of it as just headphone, otherwise just, microphone then the OHCI will be perfectly suitable for you it will not cause you any problem hopes this works

Hey can anyone here tell me if the Corsair drivers will work if I use the Windows OS on the Virtual-box , Parallels or VMware environment on MAC OSX, plus put in it in windows I'm ask this for the reason that I don’t worry about bootcamping into windows. As I wish to play a game, however have all other stuff open for homework, so I can work on it in among game matches.
