I have specifically this issue myself and sadly each my machines is Win seven 64-bit thus haven't been able to ensure it's simply the OS version however a driver issue will look doubtless. Such as you have wasted lots of your time experimenting with varied settings however i find no Success on this .I did not got this a premium headset for that but the ear cups as well as the sound from them are pretty good, far better than any previous headset I've had however the mic merely does not work because it ought to a minimum of beneath Win seven 64-bit . i will in all probability provides it another number of days hoping Corsair trouble to reply to those posts highlighting the difficulty, if not i will simply get some replacements from another manufacturer and not bit any Corsair product once more.

A lot of individuals have this issue. However it appears it is very common on desktops. it is the Corsair drivers. Does one get the crackling when the Corsair drivers aren't installed?

Windows put in the Corsair drivers the second time around as a result of the drivers were stored in your system's driver repository. To fully take away the Corsair drivers, move to Device Manager, Sound, video and game controllers, right-click Corsair HS1 USB Headset, Uninstall, tick the box next to "Delete the motive force software for this device." and click on OK, then restart. Your system can use the MS drivers. Check if the crackling is giting then.

The only different factor that I will think about that might create any sense could be a grounding issue with the system. If the headset works with none issues in 2 different systems then the headset itself is probably going functioning properly, and you've got done just about everything you'll be able to do to rule out any problems with different drivers for USB devices that might b e effecting the headset. does one have the other USB headset out there perhaps borrow one from a friend to envision if you'll be able to duplicate constant problems on your system? If all else fails we will undoubtedly strive replacing the headset for you, however apart from a grounding downside, i am unable to imagine what the matter can be.

I've modified within the bios the usb 2.0 bus speed from 480mbps HiSpeed to 12mbps fullSpeed . I still have all the 480mbps a minimum of windows however i do not have now those audio issues.

A best answer for the desktop is to shop for a PCI USB controller. however if you've got a laptop, you are answer is Unless Corsair releases an update to mend these awful drivers, there is nothing you'll be able to do however get a headset from a manufacturer that truly had the drivers QA tested.

I've switched between the win7 drivers and also the Corsair driver, neither performs to the extent I expect because it stands currently, i assumed I may go with 'good enough mic operations but once the volume is uo then it become painful to listen to . i am looking for a pleasant low-cost Analog Microphone that I will plug into my on board audio, i might like one that is 'boom' like that I will choose to the facet of my HS1. Hopefully it's solely temporary, and a magic driver update fixes of these problems.

I am having some finding on the Windows 7 Speakers Properties, if I set the sound quality to sixteen bit, 16000 Hz the matter goes away, however the standard is clearly suffering. once I place it back to the default of 16bit 44100 Hz, the popping/crackling comes back.

I simply get in home and reconnected them to my desktop laptop at home and that they work fine as usual. the difficulty solely happens on my laptop which suggests it's indeed an incompatibility issue; not a faulty unit. Would you guys just like the specs on the laptop thus you'll be able to check into this? maybe one thing with the chipset in my laptop or the USB bus isn't compatible with this headset.
