Hey simply don't worry dude the very fact that H60 has included the elements to compatible with socket 2011 CPUs for a while currently, thus you ought to be fine buying one. I actually have 2, I bought many months ago, and each had the elements like totally different mother board standoffs for the pump The H70 i can not be sure regarding, i do not own one. The newest H70 Core model is rated to be used along with your CPU, however the older models of the H70 might not.

I don't know whether I'm right or wrong on this but as far as I know the both H50 and H70, there will be a kit accessible shortly that will permit the unit to be well-suited with LGA2011

Re: Does Old H60 and H70 will Compatible with Socket 2011

Hi guys I actually have purchased the H60 and also the downside is it solely comes with four double facet screws. One facet to be threaded into the mounting bracket, and also the alternative for the bolt downs at every corner to carry the block in place. The threads on these four screws, either facet, don't thread into the socket 2011 mounting holes. they're too tiny.

i would like to know how to do this as I think I am missing some parts!

I have a similar issue and that i understand what the matter is truly it should have a original H60 that didn't embody the additional screws those that have a bigger M4 thread on one facet that work the socket 2011 holes . I simply confirmed the review after I Google the difficulty and it says of the H60, H80, and H100 you'll see within the hardware that their H60 conjointly lacked the 2011 mounting screws.

Wanted to use the H60 on my take a look at bench whereas I configured the motherboard. I do know it’s not enough for top finish overclocking, however it'd be a pleasant unit for take a look at n tune. Anyway I will get Corsair to send me some 2011 screws

i feel that you just are missing some elements. The H60's I purchased have eight of the double sided mounting screws, one set of 4 used for socket 2011 mounting. Those screws have one facet whose threaded portion is far shorter, regarding 1/4 long, and have a bigger diameter, to suit within the threaded parts of the 2011 socket.

To get these elements you'll have produce an RMA, and the stuff that you need to the mounting elements for a H60, to the support and don't think of giving back your H60. That’s the standard procedure in your circumstance, unless support people advices you otherwise. Either way, produce the RMA, because it causes no damage and may be cancelled if required.

I’m unsure whether or not I’m right or wrong however what I've examine the i7-3960X, if you're coming up with on doing any high overclocking with it, a H60 could also be inadequate for that task. High overclocking would be on top of 4.5GHz. It looks the i7-3960X when overclocked uses a lot of power than the i7-990X will, and becomes quite hot. If my expertise with an i7-2600K is any indication, the cooling required once you pass the four.5GHz level, will increase drastically.

Hey thanks you guys for all the solution. . i feel they're progressing to hook me up with the screws i would like. the first H60 packages did not include them. Like i discussed on top of, i am not yearning for serious OverClock on the H60. I simply want one thing for my assembly bench. I build quite many systems and that i wish to get them up and running and debugged before dropping them into a case and maxing the overclock. The H60 makes a concept assembly bench cooler.

What I feel is that the all new H-series coolers that don't contain the standoffs for socket 2011 mounting are literally a older stock and was kept there from the longtime for where you've got purchased it from

I think that's not the case what I feel is that a some of H60 came with the 2011 standoffs and a some did not If you did not get one, submit an RMA and describe the elements that you just ought to the support H70 core, H80 & H100 ought to accompany all standoffs maybe H50 & H70 doesn't come with the 2011 standoffs
