which is the best quality DVD?

It may not seem to be important for you but for me it is really important for this situation. I want to store some personal and very important stuffs and I don’t want to lose them anyhow and I cannot store them in my PC also. So, I was looking for a most durable DVD of high quality. I know all manufacturers use different propriety coating on their DVDs which affects DVDs in terms of durability, and scratch resistance. I know there are many DVDs available but I want the best amongst them, because I don’t want to take risk of losing those videos. I will not mind, if the price of DVD will be too high but it should be long lasting. So, if you know some best brands then please reply me their names.

According to what I have got to know from my friends and other sources till now, Verbatim DVD’s are the best. I don’t know any other DVD which is equally durable. I can assure you it will last for a longer time as it is a best quality dvd.

I was aware of Verbatim DVD’s but I was looking for a DVD better than that also. Till now, I got know that Taiyo Yuden are the best amongst all available DVD’s, but even after lots of search I am not getting those DVDs. So I want equally better DVD or better than that also, which I can easily get.

Here, I want to add something from my side, as I have experienced various DVDs. I think storing data on DVD’s for long time is always risky, doesn’t matter the quality and how durable they are. So in my opinion, you should use any hard drive or pen drive to store your valuable data as they are more reliable than DVDs in all the terms.

I think just quality doesn’t matter, apart from that the thing that matters is how carefully and where you store them and care for them. I have 5 to 6 years old CDs and DVDs and I can still play the videos stored on them because I always cared them and kept them scratch free. I always use disk spindle, instead of disk bag to avoid scratches while managing them. So, I will suggest you to don’t worry about brand just keep them safely and enjoy their usage for longer period.

I also keep my DVDs very safely. Actually I always put them in a jewel box, because I think they are the safest place to keep them. However, I think I had to buy Taio Yuden DVDs only. May be I can find them on eBay, if my luck works.
