Error Code 800283F0 while restoring from old HDD

Here is the problem that I am facing with this. Actually whenever I try to restore the backup files from my old HDD along to the new one then it start restoring that normally but at sudden when the progress reaches to 73% then it shows me the error message which says “Restoration cannot be done. Errorcode: 800283F0”. It just restored the Saved data photos, music as well as videos but cannot restore the Minis Data, Game Data. I tried to times but both of the times it comes with the same result.

PS3 backup is just able to restore fully to the PS3 which was utilized to create backup. If this is the case for you then you will have to check that account is activated from PlayStationNetwork > Account Management > System Activation > Game > Activate. If it is previously activated then you should deactivate and activate that again.

If you are getting the error code 800283F0 at the time of backup as of the external hard drive towards the PlayStation 3 console then signifies that the data is corrupted. If all the attempts for taking backup fail then you can re-download the Game Data, games and demos as of the download list which you can find within Account management>Transaction Management. After a deep search on this error, I managed to get it solved. If anyone of you is having the same problem then you will have to delete all your game utility as well as the downloaded games. After this if you do the backup then you will not get that problem again. I hope that it will be helpful.
