Logitech Quickcam is not storing user settings

Hey guys, I have been using Logitech Quickcam in my Windows XP running computer from last few weeks. It was working so well in my system until yesterday night. But now, don’t know from where the issue appeared and I started facing problems while using the Logitech Quickcam. Recently when I tried to change the settings of the Quickcam, I found that it won’t store the user settings at all. It will revert back to its original default setting. Does anyone know, what must be the issue. Please help me guys.

In my opinion the problem is created because of some compatibility problem between the program or application that is installed on your computer system. Therefore, I will recommend you to find the main culprit behind this compatibility problem and remove the following from your system. Uninstall all recently added programs and see if the issue got solved or not. Then keep installing the programs one after another, and see which is causing the issue. Don’t install the one which is the main culprit.

According to me there is some issue with the registry entries in your computer. I strongly feel that there is some kind of corruption in the registry files and some links might be missing from it. So, in this case I would recommend you to first install a good third party registry cleaner software in your system and clean up your registry files. CCleaner is a very good registry cleaner which can possible solve your issue. You can find the following software from Internet. Make sure that you are downloading the following from the official website of CCleaner.

I would recommend you to reinstall the Logitech Quickcam drivers in your system. There might be some files missing in your Quickcam’s folder in the System hard drive. First uninstall the drivers from your system and make sure that you have removed all the related files from your system. Now restart your system. After restarting the system, reinstall the drivers for your Logitech Quickcam in your computer system. Once you have installed the necessary drivers, restart your system if your system ask for the same.

You should make sure that you have installed the latest available update for your system. Once you have installed the updates in your system, you should make sure that you are installing the latest updated drivers of your Logitech Quickcam. You can find the necessary drivers for Logitech Quickcam on the official website of Logitech. Search for your webcam on the official website of Logitech and download the files. Make sure you are downloading the files for your particular Operating System.
