I am using alienware aurora alx desktop computer in which I am using windows 7 and my computer is running fine. From last some days I am facing one problem with my computer. Now whenever I start the computer and after that when I open the command center at that time it shows me 0 RPM for my CPU FAN. I don’t know what is wrong with my computer please give me some solution for this.

Well I think you should first open the CPU of your computer and after that check CPU fan is working properly or not. If the Fan is working properly then disconnect the Fan cables and connect it again. Now after doing this start the computer and after that open the command center and then check whether it is showing the fan RPM properly or not, I think after doing this you will be able to see the Fan RPM properly.

If you are still facing the same problem after connecting the Fan wires properly then I think you should try to solve the problem by reinstalling the command center in your computer. First uninstall the command center from your computer and after that insert the driver CD in your computer. Now install the command center again in your laptop and after that you will see that now Fan RPM proper. I hope this solution will be helpful to you.

I think you should try to solve this issue by doing following trick. First you have to visit the Dell official site and after that you have to search the updates for the command center and then you have to download it in your computer and after that remove the command center from your computer which is currently installed in your computer. Now after removing that install the new command center and then it will show you Fan RPM properly. If you still get any problem after that then let me know.

Re: COMMAND CENTER showing CPU FAN READING 0 RPM

As you have suggested in your above post about updating the BIOS, after reading that I have installed the BIOS update for my alienware aurora alx computer and after that I have burned bootable CD of this and updated my computer BIOS. Now after doing that when I have checked about my Fan RPM in command center at that time it was showing it perfectly. Thank you so much for giving me this useful solution. I really appreciate your help.
