    Where does TVAgent.exe started from

Hi all, I'm looking for the "start" that automatically loads "TVAgent.exe" boot on my computer. I searched the registry with the [Regedit] and only found some references to files, but nothing that leads me to believe that it is "up" there. I'm sure someone will be happy to hear that eDexter dumped was failing too. Therefore, I am up to 26 processes and I can make that 25 if I can find where TVAgent.exe is to start from.

I am very miserly about loading any extra programs and I hate having duplicate programs that do the same thing. I used Hijack this a few computers ago and it seems pretty comprehensive but like many; it often reveals a bit more than you want sometimes. I haven't tried that "Autoruns" yet, might be interest. I have been using jv16 Power Tools 2010 and Belarc Advisor. Among the two which I have mentioned, they tell me just about the whole thing about this or any computer. I will be adding a Belarc account with my system "keys" "x'ed" out. I'm just not happy displaying all my product user information on a public site.

As I mentioned, I use jv16 Power Tools, but in a manual mode. Only start when you want, but it has some impressive features, one of which is examining all startups that start at boot. From the best I can say that TVAgent.exe must be included with my HP Smart Media or video-Smart is starting. I do not want off too much and it is not really because slowdowns or problems, I just might leave well enough alone. I'm a big believer in "if it is not broke, do not fix it." But that TVAgent.exe has been there since I bought this new, so it should not get carried away with trying to kill processes unless I have to. This team is working more excellent.

I found it in program files in a folder HP SmartMedia. That's why I thought it might be included in something. I was considering replacing some "null.exe" except that something was there, so I did not receive an error message on my other HP programs SmartMedia. I could probably change its name and then change the "null.exe" to his name and see what happens.

Some time ago, I downloaded this program called "null.exe" that was intended to replace programs where there was "some" program to meet the windows or any other application or service in order to prevent an error message saying it could not find or start a program. But it seems I've lost track of that file. Is this a common approach and is this file available?

Probably would not have had anything to do with a "null.exe" application. Nuke null means to me. I have not found anything useful on Google, but see some suspicious sites. Where did you get this null.exe of? What website? "Replace the programs where there was" some "program to meet the windows or any other application or service in order to prevent an error message saying it could not find or start a program" that sounds "real" fear and I would have thought doomed. Windows is not limited to accepting an application or DLL empty well and continues as if everything is okay.

That sounds perfect, I'll try. In fact, I have tried simply changing the name and see what happens yet. I just thought I'd be ready if you have one of those pop-ups with an error. That "null.exe" which had for years has been similar, and now that I think, probably would not work anyway. I can see where one might suspect a rouge "null.exe. You never know what really could be doing. But I had been easy to check, I was able to compile since it has Visual Basic 6. 0 but I guess that is not good anymore because probably none of that old stuff that works 64-bit system.
