Unable to find driver for the PCI device

Hey guys just want to report this problem with you all. Well the problem is that I have recently installed the Essence STX audio card and the Windows Hardware Wizard cannot find any suitable driver for the unknown pci device. So what should I do in this situation? I am using a windows xp 32 bit operating system and I am not sure what is the source of the problem. Is the problem due to the windows or anything else. So anyone who would like to give some advice here then do post in your replies here.

Well have you tried running the driver installer in not then do it now. You would be able to get some required drivers for the system. Check if the same problem is getting repeated in the different system. If it is not getting repeated then you know who the culprit is. So these are some of the simple steps that you must try and follow so that you can get some exact solutions for the same. So I hope you have got the advice, do implement it accordingly.

The main cause of this problem is when EEPROM on the card gets overwritten. So to restore the EEPROM you would have to first download the patch that I have given below as an attachment and accordingly install it in your system. Remember that you must have a working dos in your system so that you would be able to work on it accordingly. So first boot dos and then run the patch that I have given here in it. So do follow the advice and I am sure it will be of lot of help for you.

See if you are not getting any solution for this kind of problem in spite of referring all the methods above then the last option left with you is to report the problem to the asus technical support and ask for some immediate help from them. I am sure that they will be helpful for you. Since you will be able to get some valuable inputs from them. So this is the final suggestion that I can give it you right now. The above attachment files will definitely work for you. So do work on them and I am sure you will be successful.
