    Problem in scanner Epson 1670

Good day to everyone. I have bought an Epson Perfection 1670 scanner four months ago that worked normally on my old PC running Win98.Today I have changed my PC I bought an HP with Win XP family, I installed my scanner on the new pc but alas it no longer works. When I want to scan it starts working the first pass is done properly then it stop during the second and message the scanner cannot allocate the required memory. Leave the other applications and restart I stop a lot of things, the scanning process goes a little further, but always stops before the end with the same message. I saw a similar post on another forum that has not been resolved I hope it will be for me Thank you in advance.

Hello friend I have read your post above mentioned. I think you have problem of the driver. You model is so old. Driver you are provided with your scanner does not support in window Xp. So I would suggest you to check the driver for your scanner online that is supportable by windows XP. You can have torrent file to download the driver. Or your driver CD may be bad. So download driver a application that copy the driver file from the window. Place that driver in windows folder of your HP computer. Hope, this may help you.

Hello friend It is cool to choose a topic on the 1670 scanner. I bought it used one yesterday, I am especially interested in the negative scan. I have no great need or in resolution or quality, but simply, the scans of negatives are downright, opaque and scan too, but much less. I focus on problem. I'm used to the Nikon Cool scan they give me bass quality but there such a difference that Someone should be to wind of such a problem on these models before I return it guarantee?

Hello friend, I too have the same problem as like you. The scanner seems to work properly it is receiving the power and signal from the system but it does not scan any image or scans no image. It always ask me to put a document on the glass but I have already put the picture on the glass. If anyone has a solution or answer for this problem, I am about to buy another. I will go to the Epson V350. It has very good review! Thank you in advance.

Hello friend, There may issue with your cable data is not being send to your system. Please replace your data cable and try to scan the picture once again. This may solve your problem. Else there may be the issue with your lens in the scanner which may not be reading the picture it has gone bad. So go repaired or change it then check. All these are the possibility of the cause. Go through all the issue. Finally you will get the solution.
