Intel DX38BT not recognizing the Q9650 processor

Guys I have been using the combination of the Intel DX38BT motherboard with the likes of the Q9650 processor, but since last few days I have found that there is something wrong going on with the combination of the processor and the motherboard that I am having as when I start the system sometimes the board does not recognize the processor that is the processor does not start and sometimes the processor starts but the board that it the system does not boot. So can someone help me to know what exactly is the problem and what should I do to get this thing sorted out.

Hey what I think is that there could be a problem of the internal hardware of the system that you are having inside the CPU, what I think is that may be that some of the internal connections that are there inside the board might have got loose or it can be that the link might have got completely damage due to which whenever you start the system the processor doesn’t start or when the processor starts the motherboard does not get the ample power to get the components to work normally. So this is certainly to do with the internal connections of the cpu.

Hey what I think that the processor that you are using inside your motherboard might have got too old and that is why you are not able to get the processor to run normally whenever you start your system. If you have got some internal knowledge of the cpu then you must open the cpu case and then look at the side and the below connection of the processor and if you find any such loose connection or any black surface which suggest that the processor has got damaged then I think that you will have to buy a completely new processor.

May be that the power requirements of the components that are there inside the system have got change due to the integration of some more components on the motherboard that will surely consume more power as with what you are having with the entire cpu. If you have really installed a graphics card or something that is consuming more power than usual then I think that the processor and the motherboard is not getting the power that is required to make them run perfectly.

If you have got some other spare computer system at you home then what you can do is that you can remove that processor and install it into your current system that is having the problem with the board, once you inserted it you can test to see what exactly is the problem that you are facing with the system,. If the system gets working over with the different processor than it is sure that the processor was the culprit but if it doesn’t works over there as well then I think that the problem could be of the motherboard, which can only be solved by a hardware engineer or something,

If you are looking for some kind of testing mechanism to test what exactly is the problem with the system, then I would want to inform you to test the power consumed with the help of a multimeter to test the PSU of your CPU. It has found that the normal count for this PSU has to be in the range of 130 watts, so if you find that the count is no where near the scale then I think that the problem is with the PSU that has to replaced it with a new one.

Check for the BIOS update of your system, I am also using the same configuration of the motherboard and the processor and I have come to know that this kind of problem usually arises when something is wrong with the BIOS settings of your system. I had the same problem with it and I just went to the device Manager to get the update of the drivers and the firmware done which eventually solved my problem.
