Printer slows down when printing PDFs

Hello everybody. I face this problem yesterday at the time of printing my work documents. Actually I recently purchase new HP Laserjet 3030 printer for home use. I would not give me any problem at the time of printing text as well as rich graphic document, but I tried to print PDF files it takes too much time for processing. Sometimes it completely fails to print documents. I don’t know what exactly wrong about my system. I need your help to figure out solution for this problem. I am desperately waiting for your precious replies. I want to solve this problem as early as possible. Thanks in advance.

The hp is one of the topmost brands available in printers market. I don’t think so it is a problem related to your printer. It might be possible that the version of adobe you are using is older one and hence unable to work properly with latest models of printers. Check your software’s version and if you find it as older one, change it with latest version. The adob’s latest version is easily available on net. Simply download it and after uninstalling the older version put newer one in your system. Now check whether your printer consuming less time for printing PDF files or not. If this solves your problem don’t forget to upgrade your adobe after some pre- defined intervals.

From first look it is not look like problem related to your hardware peripherals. This might be software problem. Firstly try to resolve this problem by installing fresh copy of drivers. For getting fresh copy of drivers for your printer simply visit HP support website which has drivers for all printers manufactured by them. Enter your printer’s code there, they will provide you latest drivers available for your printer. You can also try the option of installing completely different software’s for printing your PDF files instead of using ADOB. There are number of alternatives exists something like perfect PDF or you can choose anyone that suites your system environment.

As you mentioned in your question you are not getting any problem while printing normal text files as well as image files. This might be a solution for you. You can print PDF files by treating them as graphics files. I think this must be a simplest solution for you to solve this problem. To achieve this go to your PDF viewer and perform following steps.
    Steps:-
    • Inside PDF viewer select print option.
    • After that choose advance option.
    • Then print your PDF document as image.

Re: Printer slows down when printing PDFs

I think it might be the problem related to resolution that you preferred on your system for printing documents. I suggest you to change the print resolution from higher level to lower level. You can change your print resolution from print setting provided by windows using your printer itself. It might be possible that after decreasing your print resolution your systems printing time decreases at some extent. Actually by decreasing its resolution, you are nothing but changing your print size of document up to 200%, which will definitely help you far saving your precious time. This solution works in scenarios like shortage of memory and all that. I hope this will work for you as well.
