Wireless adapter turns off in windows 7 when Ethernet cable is plugged in

I’ve a hp dv6 laptop, I’m using windows 7 operating system in my laptop. In windows 7 my computer won’t connect automatically at the time of booting, while when I’m using windows xp before this, my computer connect to a network automatically at the time of booting. Another thing is that when my computer come back from sleep mode it automatically disconnect the network, where as I’ve not faced this problem while using xp. I think my windows xp operating system is much better and compatible with my system than windows 7. I’m confused, which operating system should I used. Please tell me why this problem is happening in my computer please tell me and suggest me some tips on this. Please help me.

There is nothing wrong with your operating system. You can use any operating system windows xp or windows 7, I think there is something wrong with your server. Check your server setting it, you have to made some changes in your server setting. If your computer can’t connect automatically at the time of booting then you should check your operating system setting you have change the setting from automatic to manual. Set your setting to automatic from manual and you’ll not face this problem again. After making changes check your computer by restarting your computer, if your computer connect automatically, then it is fine if not, then contact to some network techie to solve your problem.

You can use windows xp if you’re not comfortable with windows 7, but let me tell you there is nothing good and bad for network you can use any operating system to connect your network, there is some changes in network setting for different operating system but it is not a big issue, you can easily deal with that. You can use windows xp or windows 7 for your network connection, but you have said that you are not able to connect automatically at the time of rebooting the computer, then you have to check your network setting for that, because there are setting in your network from which you can allow your computer to connect automatically or manually, so check the connection first.

I think something is wrong with your network server, your dhcp server is having only one ip address and your server allowing only that ip address. You shou7ld check your network server setting properly. Check that what instruction you have gave to a server while detecting the pc in a network. You’ll have to find out the reason behind this problem and then you should go for solution. There is nothing like network connection is compatible in windows xp and not compatible in windows 7. There is no compatibility issue in any of the operating system you can use any of the operating system and all are good for networking. If you does’nt resolve your issue then you can contact to any network techie or your network architect which have design your network.

Why6 you have changed your operating system from windows xp to windows 7 ?. you can go back to windows xp. But if you really want to stick with windows 7 then you can do some steps to resolve your problem. Try this steps hope it will work for you: click the start button, click control panel in that, click network and internet, then click network and sharing center. To view your network click connect or disconnect. Whichever you clicked, right click on it and select properties. the last step is to check the connection on the connection tab of new window and check for “connect automatically”. This will connect your computer automatically to the network at the time of booting.

I think you should check your device manager setting. You can see your external device is properly connected or not in device manager. You have said you are not able to connect your network automatically when you reboot your system in windows 7. Let me tell you windows 7 is the advance version of windows. You can do everything which you can’t do in windows xp. If you still want to go for windows xp then you can, you can use any operating system for connecting to a network there is not any specification for any operating system. You can connect your network in windows 7 or windows xp there is no issue in using any operating system. It depends on you which o.s you like to use in your network.
