    Does anyone uses Thermalright Frio

I want know something on Thermalright Frio. Does anyone uses this. If yes then how is the performance of this coolar. What is best part. I had listen from most of the people that this cooler is best for overclocking system. If yes then how does it help in cooling up a heated cpu. What are the new things added on it. I checked the price for this, which is not less. So this can be one time investment for the cpu cooler. Does it works with other socket amd based motherboard's also.

It is right to say that thermaltake makes an effort to offer its superior performance heatsinks in comparison to what the market offers already. It also includes models with models that support a high TDP and an extraordinary support. Frio is the most recent version of heatsink. It is compatible with all Intel and AMD sockets, which also supports the upcoming six-core CPU (AMD X6), supports a maximum TDP of 220 W and is therefore especially designed for systems with overclocking. When you buy the same you will get two 12 cm fans offering a special air flow, with integrated speed control which can be placed in different positions.

I am using this for quit a longer time. It is specifically desing for for overclocking. That means if you are going to overclock your system then this is the most suitable cooler for your system. It has a great ability to dissipate up to 220 W. This heatsink comes with two fans. The fixing of this heatsink seems cumbersome, but the basic structure of the Frio is like a shaped tower, with two plastic pieces that hold the fans. The fins are aluminum with 0.5 mm thick, all perfectly aligned to improve the cooling capacity of the heatpipes.

The housing of this heatinsk is designed with rubber so that there is lesser sound. Thermaltake has chosen a black design for the Hot Box. A 120 mm fan is installed in the unit, but a second fan is also provided in the box. The mounting of the fan is easy and you do not need to put much strain on that. Thermaltake has included in the Frio mounting hardware to make use of the cooler in almost all modern sockets. You can buy the same with confident and use it on your system. There are additional fans provided which you can replace in case you need.

Thermaltake has used a unique design that creates air turbulence which is needed to increase the cooling capacity. There are also five copper heat pipes of 8 mm in the design of the Frio. These heat pipes are staggered to help transfer more heat to aluminum fins. It is well design to absorb heat and due to the size it is also quiet recommended for higher performance. Cold is the basis of copper, excellent for transferring heat from the CPU to the five heat-pipes. The fan also comes with a RPM control knob to allow control of fan rotation speed. The control knob can be removed if you want to run the fan at full speed.

Frio is a smartly designed cpu heatsink. You can get more than what you get on a traditional system. There are two fans are included, each of which is placed with four rubber screws to help eliminate vibrations caused the rotational energy of the fans. Once installed, the cold is very elegant and its color scheme nicely complement most motherboards on the market today. Despite its dual fan configuration occupies a good space, it is still a bit smaller than most of the designs of Twin Towers. There can be compatibility issues with components surrounding the CPU socket. With its newly designed with five large heatpipes of 8 mm and two 120 mm fans Cold is as good as it looks.
