Razor Blade Thermal grease for CPU cooling

I have just bought a new desktop system , I have got an AMD Turion processor and AMD heatsink over it , apart from that I have ASUS motherboard and 4GB OF DDR RAM installed on my mother board , I know that there are power supply cooling fan and processor cooling fan to exhaust the heat , I even know about the heat sink absorb the heat, but read for the first time about the Thermal grease applied on the heat sink and I have heard that The Razor blade is best in the business, if there are any suggestions other than it please let me know.

Thermal grease some time also called as thermal compound is a liquid material, which have its properties similar to a grease that is why it is called as a grease properties akin to grease, which increments the the conductivity of the substance to which it is being applied , here mostly an heat sink. A thermal grease assists a heat sink in the heat dissipation of a thermal crossing point by compensating for the surfaces which are not regular of the substance or a heat sink

Pasting thermal grease over heat sink so that it can have a standardized pattern is an vital part of the procedures included in CPU cooling. It is now used but before the most acknowledged method was to put a thin coat credit card, which was done with the help of a razor blade . but the thermal components which are being used now are the most lightly weighted and are a little damp so that it can be applied and spread easily , but of the compounds are not damp then this razor blade technique cannot be used.

But I do cannot apply this razor blade technique if the the thermal grease you are applying is not much damp or liquid in state . There are different techniques such as Pea size or rice gain size , this name refers to the space these grease can be accommodate with m there is one more called as straight line which you can use if you have an even surface of heat sink , I used a tuning x2 in my system.
