Gaming plus Multimedia PC configuration Under 30k

I have been using a junk desktop PC which is nearly 5 year old. Now this time I want to configure a Multimedia PC under 30K. I also want this new configuration for some gaming purposes. So my requirement is both and that is only under 30K. It looks crazy but I think it is now possible because the cost of the hardware components became much less than last year. So I think this is the best time to build a Multimedia + Gaming gear under low budget. The more important thing is I want Windows 7 in it and I will not going to overclock it in recent future. I have several configurations but they will not match all the aspects. I’m doing some programming related stuff too. Good Configuration will be much appreciated not only for me, for all viewers.

Re: Gaming plus Multimedia PC configuration Under 30k

If you are thinking a Gaming + Multimedia on 30K, Don’t go for i5 or higher. The intel i3 or Athlon II would nearly match your aspects. I have one best configuration which is nearly under 30K but it varies depending on your requirement.
    • Processor: AMD Athlon II X3 435 - >3.5k
    • Motherboard: Gigabyte MA-74GMT-S2 - >2.7k
    • RAM: Corsair 2x2GB DDR3 1333MHz - >4.4k
    • DVD RW: Optical drive (LG SATA) - >1k
    • CPU case: NZXT Gamma - 2k (Not a recommended option. You can check other brand also)
    • Power Supply Unit: Corsair VX550 - >4.5k
    • Graphic Card: Zorac GTX 460 768MB DDR5 - >11.8k

As far as the Graphics concerns don’t buy less than “460”. Remember that you need a Gaming PC not just a multimedia one. And the PSU should handle your graphic card in case if you are going for other brand.

Before actually configuring your multimedia and gaming PC you need to take a note down on several things. They are
    • What is your favorite OS?
    • How much you need a storage space?
    • What is the Maximum resolution and screen size you want?
    • Processor: Intel or AMD?
    • Does your location is goods for buying computer hardware?
    • How much output do you want from your PSU?
    • What kind of cabinet you looking for? Simple or gamer?
    • How many PCI slots, RAM slots, USB ports and other ports you want in motherboard?
    • Do you connect your PC for multiplayer or online gaming mode?
    • What kind of internet connection you will be planning?
    • How soon you will overclock it?
    • Does your surrounding environment could handle the current configuration?

Re: Gaming plus Multimedia PC configuration Under 30k

I am telling you my system configuration which is also under 30K and it suits most of the games.
    • AMD Athlon II X4 630 - 4.4k
    • Gigabyte GA 880GM UD2H - 4.4k or MSI 880GMA E45( with USB 3.0) - 5.8k
    • 2 GB DDR3 RAM - 2.3k
    • FSP Saga II 350w PSU- 1.5k
    • CM Elite 310 Cabinet - 1.5k
    • WD green/Seagate/Samsung spinpoint F3 1 TB - 3k
    • Any DVD RW – 1.2 k
    • BenQ 22" Full HD - 7.5k
    • Logitech 2.1 Speaker Z103 - 1.3k
    • Logitech CL MK320 Desktop - 1.5k

If you choose Gigabyte motherboard the cost will be nearly 28.6k and with MSI motherboard 30k.As far as the RAM concern either you can choose Corsair or Kingston, both are good. The Logitech keyboard and mouse which is mentioned here are Wireless. It will help in gaming and using a system as home entertainment program.
