Working problem in Epson Stylus Color 600 printer

Hello,
I require a help from you. I have an Epson Stylus Color 600 printer at my home and i also have HP laptop with windows 7 Home Premium installed on it. I have connected the printer with the help of a converter cable. Laptop is able to recognize the cable. The problem is that when i try to add a new printer the i am not able to find the driver for the printer. Please help me out.

You are using Epson Stylus Color 600 printer, which is old one, so you will not be getting the driver easily for that. But i am providing you the website address of the Epson printer, here you can make the search of the driver and will be getting the driver for your machine.

I referred the link you provided. I did not find any driver for my printer on the EPSON web site. It is having a compatibility chart where it is given that the driver is inbuilt in the windows 7 OS, but the problem is that i am having windows 7 home premium and the driver is not inbuilt in the home premium version. If any one have installed the driver on their system please provide me.

Initially i was also facing the same problem while installing the driver for the printer. But soon i founded a solution for that. When i was trying to add a new printer in my windows 7 OS, then i was not getting the printer model in the device list. So for getting the new printer model on the list you will need to select "windows update". Here the problem will get solved.

Thanks for giving the reply. I tried what you said and i was able to install epson 600 in my machine. I am able to install the new printer. But i am getting the problem that, when I try to print anything, i am not able to print it. The thing what is happening with me is, when I plug the USB cable in the laptop, the machine is able to recognize the driver, but it also indicates that the printer is not being detected.
