My mic dosen't work with the realtek driver :(

Hello

i just bought a Microsoft LiveChat lx-2000 and i got my intel dp55wg motherboard and its audio driver installed...i cannot hear when i speak into the microphone but if i hit its switch into the ground...a boom noise is heard,but only that time...i am not skilled in the pc domain but i would like help...it is weird cuz the mic works just fine on my other laptop...if you have any ideas i'd like to hear them

I think the driver you have installed might be not working properly or it is not compatible with the Intel DP55WG Board. YOu need to download and install the compatible driver that you can download from this Intel download center: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...ng&PrdMap=3066

the driver i took was from the intel website...but i heard many people complain about their micro[hone not working with the realtek hd digital....
EDIT:ah..yes...also.when in game music is heard and i am testing the microphone's in put,the line moves like an equaliser,when testing if the microphone works,also,its switch,when i move it left-right,same boom happens,i am testing the microphone input on skype...

Even I would like to agree with you. I have also came across with some users who were having the similar problem. I am assuming that you have properly updated your drivers for the realtek. Have you checked with some messengers.? If its still not working then there might be compatibility issues of mic and the respective motherboard.

very complicated problem .. Anyways, lets give it one more try. First uninstall the existing driver from your system. I hope you know the process for the same. Than download and install this one : Intel Desktop Board DP55WG Realtek ALC Audio Driver 6106. Hope it will work for you.

'the hell it wont work...i'm so stressed out! also i remembered...i just swiched one thing or another in the realtek's control panel and found out something,switched some things and then a skype conversation worked,but then when i tried again it didnt work...for short i modified something in the control panel of realtek and made it work,but only once!

I would suggest you to get the realtek drivers reinstalled on your system if you are not able to resintall the same on your system since it is already installed on your system so i would suggest you to get this application uninstalled before you reinstall the same again. I would recommend you to download it from the following link

Try to install the latest service pack updates in your computer and then and check if it sort outs the problem. By the way do you have any error messages in the event log ? Right-Click on "My Computer" -> Manage -> Event Log. Are there any exclamation points in the device manager ?

uhh i lately installed windows 7 on my pc but didnt test out how the mic works....i said that i did something on my driver's options that made it work but i dont know what!

A driver update can fix that out. For that first enter the control panel and search for audio settings. There you will find multiple settings for speaker and mic. You can also run a sound recorder from start menu to test whether your mike is working or not. If not then right click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager. Go under the audio tool and then right click to update drivers.

no drivers are updateable...i repeat i modified something i my settings and that made it work once....
