Connect Old Internal Floppy to PC??

Previously I was using floppy drive but when I have purchased the new PC I have just stop to use that one. But now in my office there is one project which is in floppy. So I have to make some correction in that project. So for using that floppy drive I have to use my old floppy drive. So is there any way from that I can connect my floppy drive to a modern desktop which has only internal SATA and external USB?

As much I know that USB floppy drive is the best one. You observe the crimson "x" at the side of "Floppy Drive". And I do not make out if there is no floppy drive connector on the motherboard. Or it also means that tower merely does not ship through a floppy drive installed for the reason that no new towers have floppy drives. You just go to the mobo BIOS and if you are not able to see any of the floppy drive option then you just get sure that it will not support the floppy drive. And for the USB floppy drive you have to spend around $20 to $30 for the USB floppy disk drive.

I want to know that do you really want that floppy drive to connect. Because if it is not so much important then do not go for that otherwise try to complete this in your office itself. You have one more option you can use floppy drive from the cyber café. There will not be any much problem you have to face and your problem also gets solved. So if it is not so much important then do not go for this.

I have to also transfer some of the data from floppies for my friend which is recently bought new tower because the reason is that in that floppy there is family tree information is stored on the floppy only. So later than I built the new tower for them and my friend hand me this very old floppy and requesting me to copy their family tree data off them. So I had to access the floppies by using that old tower. So I think like this you can also fix your issue.

I have also faced this but when I ask this to my friend then he helped me. Because he has that floppy drive and the older tower which support that floppy drive. He has given that to me so for me my problem gets solved. I have a drive lying around plus a computer that can have it. Now my problem is covered.

My problem is related to the program Micrografx? Windows 1995 version which is on floppies. I have some CD which contain full of drawing which is made some years ago. And I want to use that CD again and want to make the new one. In that, program was simple to use that and it is effective also. I have got some of the suggestions on the web for the web for reading that file which is available but it is not useful for me. I do not want to go for the new software. The floppy which is I am using in that there is no any way to connect this to USB.

I am not very much aware regarding to this. If you do not have proper floppy drive connector then try to use the different one. I am thinking because of the connector only you are facing problem. Because of that only you are stuck in to this situation. Go for the new one which very latest. Or there is one more solution in that you take your floppy drive to another system which is older and support this floppy drive. So I think after doing this your problem gets solved.

You tell me that your program is on the Floppy drive and whatever data is created data is on the CD. If there is like that so have you ever tried alternative means for getting the program? If you are not getting my point then like one alternative option is internet. You go there and search regarding this I think you will very soon get this information.

I have tried this in most of the area but till now I am not able to get any of connector like that which can solve my issue. Now I have a USB Floppy drive but program is not able to get install on the windows 7 operating system still when altering compatibility mode to windows 98. I have also tried this on my windows XP. I have checked my Device manager there is option of floppy drive. In Win explorer, I cannot see it and in Explorer - it's not there either. So little bit I am also get confused.
