Error 2343

Hi Friends,

I have computer with windows XP sp3 installed in it and 2005 Media Center. My problem is that I am not able to install my printer and whenever I try to install it I aborts the installation and show the message saying “Internal Error 2343”. What is the meaning of this error? Is this error of my PC or the printer? I tried to fix registry but it has no effect. I have tried each and every possible solution which I know.

I don’t want to buy a new machine. I am getting this error every time when I try to download the driver. Please help me.

Its a fatal error message and it normally comes when you are installing the HP software. It shows the error "Internal Error 2343". When registry keys interrupt or prevents the software installation then your computer will show this message to you.You can delete registry key to come out of this issue or you can also edit the registry key. You will find the steps for that here.

You can edit registry and after that export and merge the installer keys. There are two steps for that.

Step 1 :

1. Create a new folder on the desktop
2. Type Installer as its name and press enter.
3. On run window type regedit, and click OK.
4. Click on + sign beside HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT which will open the contains of the registry key.
5. Come to these steps:
   
   • Scroll down through the registry keys listed in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT until you find Installer .
   • Right-click Installer and select Export .
   • Select the Installer Keys Folder on the Windows Desktop as the location to export the file to in the Save In box.
   • Type Installer1 into the File Name text box, and then click OK .
6. Right click on installer and then delete. Click on yes.
7. Click – sign beside HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
8. Repeat step 4,5,6 to export and delete any registrykey.
9. Close the registry editor and restart computer.

Step 2:
1. Double-click the Installer Keys folder on the Windows Desktop.
2. For all the installer keys Double click the Installer1 file and then click yes.
3. Restart the computer and then check the functionality.

There may be some threads in your System which are not allowing your system to detect the hardware. You should install it with a good and updated antivirus. And delete or repair all the infected files. But make sure that your antivirus is updated otherwise there will be a possibility that it may not detect that virus or corrupted file.
