Creative Gigaworks 5.1 G550W Power Cut

I have bought a new Creative Gigaworks 5.1 G550W before one month and it was working without any problem but recently it has started showing some power cuts. And an only way to make it working is turn off the power switch, unplug the power lead, plug it back in and turn it on again. I am using windows vista on my computer.

Even i am having the same problem on my Creative Gigaworks 5.1 G550W sound system. It is great sound system but since it gets power cut, There is nothing comes to my mind by doing which i can play this speakers. Please help me and how do i get rid of this problem? Is there anybody who have found any solution to fix this problem for always.

This seems like there is some kind of loose connection with the speaker system which you have connected on your vista computer system. You should use this whole surround sound system on some other computer system so that you can confirm that is there any problem with the sound system or not. I guess there should not be any as you have bought it just before some months or may be before some days.

I think there would be some kind of sparks coming on the socket when switch on the the system each time and as soon as any socket sparks up, Whole connection of the room (whole circuit) gets tripped and hence you need to turn on the fuse which again supplies an electricity to your room. This problem persists because of the earthing problem. I suggest you to give check to your home's wiring from an electrician as there is a proper earthing or not.

It might happen that due to the power cut some power IC has got burnt and since there would be some missing power IC because of which your sound system would not be turning ON. I think you should check the same ports by connecting some other system or first of all check the sockets on which you are connecting this sound system.

I think you must have tried using the Creative Gigaworks G550W on other computer systems as well and if it does not works on those systems as well then there would be some problem with the sound system itself. For solving this kind of problem, I suggest you to directly contact with the dealer from where you have bought this surround system. And better if you use the warranty.
