    Zen X-Fi won't turn on??

    Last night, my player was functioning proper until the battery goes died. I have just received the message on the display stating that the battery was dead, so I connected this into the charge overnight then in current morning when I tried to switch this on but nothing happened . When I connect it with my system, windows generates a sound (which is same as when I device get connected) but creative central doesn't recognize it. I have tried leaving it connected into my system for some times to get if it required a full charge and still there is no any effects at all. It looks as the player is simply got dead.You got this type of issue before..

    I have just purchased a Creative Zen X-fi capacity of 8GB. I got home and then I connected this with my machine after making installation of the software. I copied there some mp3 albums a charged this a little then after I noticed that its written in manual that is has to be charged for 4 hours before working on this . I haven't got that much time that's why I completed the copying of files procedure, disconnected it and moved to school. It completed the charging about 23% and when I came home and I needed to complete the charging but when I plug this with my system, It would start for charging and system displays it in hardware as a ROM RECOVERY and I am unable to charge this or switch it on.

    There are something you are going wrong and you know you haven't disconnected it completely that's why you are running with such type of issues with this .You should 'safely remove the hardware' by clicking on the stop button before you disconnect it from the computer system. I think, you can reset this by using a paperclip to put into a tiny hole just beside the on/off switch to restart this again and try this and see if it goes ..

    Thanks for your replies . I think, I have connected it with the normal way and have done also the safe remove hardware. How long should I keep the reset button? Try this when it has been connected to the computer system or not? As according to your suggestion, I have done the something described below.

    Tried this with and without plugging with the computer system.When is not , there is no any effect .When it is in plugged within the computer system, when I press and hold the reset button, windows does that "blimp" when you unplug some hardware, when I release this, "blimps" again and its again plugged as a ROM recovery. After all, there seems no changes at all..

    Commonly, you have to just give it a quick press and it does a reset. You should also try this to enter into the recovery mode. For this, you can issue and keep down the play button. In such case, Just put a paperclip onto the reset button and keep it on there then after push the power button for on. Let all of the thing move easily and it should move into a recovery console. After taking an entry into the recovery console,try to perform a clean up and find out any changes and if that helps in any way.

    Hello all,
    I received an X-FI just before one month and I am running with this issue. It would not switch on or getting charge. I have plugged this with my system and got nothing going on . Now, the only thing which I can say that happened was that my younger brother switched the machine off while this was charging and when I picked this up and switched it off, it would not trun back on.

    This is a very well and reliable MP3 and I think, there is an simple resolution cause I don't need to have to send this back and wait for three months for Creative to say they are unable to solve it out .
