I had contact Onkyo customer service and had them walk me from side to side a trouble shoot conference. I disconnected each constituent and the entire speakers. I then reconnected every speaker independently and twisted the volume up to the max. The receiver worked completely. I then reconnected every a/v component and tested them independently. Every one of them worked absolutely on max volume. I then connected the whole thing and watched the TV. No tribulations. I then played a DVD, no difficulty. This worked for regarding 2 weeks, and at present I notice that the difficulty has reappeared, even though I am able to twist the volume to regarding 50. I do not imagine it's a difficulty with the receiver. This might be a TV related difficulty.

The receiver twist off by itself and the standby approach light maintain on flashing.- My 606 goes into stand-by method when moreover the TV volume or the receiver volume is twisted up past 53. I got this receiver 4 months ago and it worked extremely well when it was hooked up to my old 27" Sony Wega. My 606 is doing the similar thing. If the volume is 30 or superior subsequent to 15 min the unit shuts down. I determine to try what was recommended. I determine to let everybody be familiar with how I create it out.

Would hooking up the hdmi cable when I do not encompass or have a contribution to my cable provider have anything to do with this difficulty I do not imagine it's the av receiver in view of the fact that it worked absolutely with my old TV, and I might crank up the volume as much as I might stand. I had this predicament, and it was one of the speakers. I detached the right rear speaker and at present it runs extremely well. I asked it at Visions how to get to the bottom of it so I am able to hook my speaker back up and he said that banana plugs protects wires from crossing and sending a backwards indication (causing the receiver to turn itself off). Anticipate that assist you.

When the element shuts off by itself, it means that the fortification circuitry inside has been activated. It is able to be a difficulty with the receiver itself or it is presently detecting something hooked up to it that is capable to cause probable damage so it shuts off. You would necessitate to disconnect everything from the back and by itself, try to twist it on, observe if it determine to stay on and then crank the volume way up to max. If it stays on, the beneficiary is ok and you then necessitate to retook your apparatus one by one starting with the speakers until you determine the one causing the receiver to shut off.

On the other hand, if the receiver shuts off and would not turn on even by itself, it means that the difficulty is internal and it moreover has to go back to your dealer for an substitute or it has to be sent to a renovate center for servicing. As well as the tremendous advice given - as an alternative of unplugging stuff - you might run the set up mic with the 606 and it determine to "sense" if some speakers are not appropriately connected.
