Driver for Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro

I have just bought a new Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro and finding some problem regarding it. Actually when i try to connect it then it is getting detected as an "USB Human Interface Device" which seems to be bit different then others. Though my keyboard is working but some of the special keys are not working on it. I am using windows xp operating system. Is it drivers issue or something else.

I think this would be definitely a driver issue as it is getting detected but the only common keys are working for it. This should mean that the driver which you have installed on your windows xp operating system is for normal keyboard which would not be enough for proper functioning of cordless keyboard. You need to download the driver for your model number of keyboard.

I have found that the driver needed for running the Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro on computer system needs its different drivers which are bit different from the normal keyboard drivers. I think you need to install an iTouch driver which would be perfect for the keyboard which you are wishing to use with your windows xp operating system. You may go to an official web site of an iTouch where they must have provided the link for downloading the drivers for their keyboards.

Yes, I guess T.J. have caught it in a right way. Actually the Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro needs to be an iTouch drivers installed on it. I have seen many users of Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro who all are using the same driver and they have never complained about any kind of problem. I suggest you to install the same but make sure that you installs the driver for your operating system. As you are using windows xp then search for the which version it is, is it 32 bit version or 64 bit version?

Before you update your product, it is important to be aware of the procedure recommended by the manufacturer Logitech. You consult the recommendations in the manual, technical manual or user guide or installation of LOGITECH CORDLESS DESKTOP PRO. And there are lots of websites which provides you the drivers to download on your computer system but first make sure that you are downloading the driver for an operating system which you have installed on your computer.

Go to start then run, then type "services.msc", go to HID input service, double click, check to see that it starts automatically. if not change it to automatic and click apply, then start. It should work or i would suggest you to download it from the liutilities.com/device-driver/itouch-composite/.
