How to configure Logitech Harmony One with Dell XPS M1730

Anybody have any idea related to the configuration of Logitech Harmony One with the Dell XPS M1730 laptop. I am asking this because according to the compatibility wizard that is given on the net my laptop is not having any kind of IR-receiver. I also want to that this information is right or wrong because I have heard that the Dell XPS M1730 supports consumer IR.

Well you can configure it without any problem; I have no idea which wizard you have read that is saying that you can do that. Well for configuring you can do this by using the generic media center computer system and using this method. Go to Computer and then to media center pc and then to Microsoft and then to window vista media center edition. After doing this if you are facing any problem then please give me the details related to that.

All Harmony remote control commands make use of the same database and the same equipment. Although some of the remote control was also friendly and TiVo's DVR or advertising, the fact is that all the harmony remote can control the DVR or TiVo's. If your device in the database, there is a good opportunity, harmony and equipment will interact well.

You will require knowing few commands for that purpose if they are not present in the database, may be it will not work correctly. For more functioning you require to change the settings. There are many exceptions, because harmony remote is not able to learn RF commands, hence learning is limited to infrared signals.

Logitech has created a new tool that will allow you to check your equipment is in the database. Please note that this is a new tool, and some are for it twists. In addition, just because a apparatus in the record, this does not mean 100% of the command will work on its own. You may also require learning or confirming the original remote control from a number of commands. You basically need to know is that if your apparatus is in the database, then most probably you will not need to learn much from the original remote command?

You will need to create a computer through your user name or through the account and program the remote control. The model of your equipment will be ready as soon as you have the model number. Carefully enter the figures are make sure that you will not make mistake in that, because it might accidentally get a device does not work in the different profiles. Into your device, you should install activities.

Remote control button for the body are active, you can do the re-arrangements, "more activity" option in the activities listed. Use only the LCD display and remote control their activities in any way the soft button for your activities as you wish. The device commands on the remote control seems to be different based on the active and sometimes unpredictable.
