Epson 2880 Dark Prints while using Photoshop CS3

I am facing problem while taking the prints of designed in Photoshop CS3. Actually the thing is that I am making some designs using Photoshop CS3 and when I am taking the printout of that design the print is coming very dark by the way I am using Epson 2880. I have checked the setting of my printer it is proper and also checked the setting related to Photoshop but nothing seems to be wrong. Can anybody help me why I am getting Dark print from Epson 2880 while using Photoshop CS3

If you ask me I always let the printer to decide the color of the prints. I have throng the Epson drivers in thrash they are no longer in use. Currently I am using Gutenprint drivers without any problem. I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro and I have discovered that the first print not to my linking but if check the correct color profile it was back. I can only suggest you to use Gutenprint drivers.

I am facing the similar problem with the CS3 and 7600 Epson printers. Whenever I try to choose the convention profile or the 7600 Epson profile that is coming with the printer profile the preview which I am getting is dark and the print is darker. I am really annoyed with this problem of dark printing. It just ruined the whole design.

Actually the thing is that the everything was going well, the problem was started when I have upgraded to Photoshop CS 3 on my Mac OS X. I have not altered the printer driver they are the same. I am not using the PhotShop Manages Colors and also turned off Color organization in the printer. I think there is a problem with the Photoshop CS3. But I need others suggestions before switching back to Photoshop CS 2

Recently I have bought the Epson R2880 and also done the setup for Photoshop CS 4 and also downloaded the ICC profiles but still facing the similar dark print issue. I have also contacted to Epson customer support they have replied to use the utility software but then also getting the same result for dark print. Has anybody successfully installed this printer on their MacBook Pro.
