Are sure that your disk is having the enough memory to perform the task or write on it? Did you tried any other disk for burning the same file and got the same error? Also let me know which file you are trying to write on the disk. So provide me all the detail so that i can find the exact solution for the problem that you are going through.

I am having the same doubt about the disk space to i have tried another CD and getting the same error. I am trying to write the .WMA extension file to the disk which i don't think is the cause of this issue. The data which i am trying to write is of 600 MB and the disk is of the 700 MB. I have given all the detail which you have asked about hoping that i will get the solution.

This is seems to have the issue with the software which you are running to burn the CD on the Macbook pro. So it is advised that you should uninstall the same and then reinstall the software again and run the same to check whether this time the burning of the Disk is working or not. Thats all i can help you with this issue.

Have you tried any other utility to burn the same? If not yet then use it first and then let me know. I will suggest you to go with the itunes only as it is also having the ability to burn the disk on to disk drive. You can also try the Disk utility which will allow you to perform all the same with the disk writing. Hope this will help you.
