    MacBook Pro screen blinks

    Hi,
I had encountered a problem on my macbook. I have first facing a screen flashing issue on the screen. I had changed the brightness of the screen which looks very unpleasant on white background. Now it's like the flashes on the screen. I had tried to set the same but still the screen is blinking. I am not able to get the issue behind this. What should I do here.

It seems to me that you had some issue related to the display. I will recommend you to first reset your screen settings to older time and then set the other settings from the display properties. That might work in your system. In case of any further issue you will need to contact the Apple service center and send your system for repair. Checkout the driver updates too.

I had called apple customer service, and as I thought they made me go through lots of unnecessary online troubleshooting tips offered to me like reset the firmware, reinstalling the OS, etc. Obviously, it takes so long that I recall now that I reinstalled the OS. However, I think this can be a hardware problem. For this just switch to best performance in energy management for the problem disappears.

If you set the best performance modes in energy management then that puts much impact on battery and portable heaters more. It does not seem to be any real solution by changing the logic board, and even sometimes the problem returns. By calling the online store they offers you tons of troubleshooting options. Try to update your video driver, hope that might work.

It's the same with me. I have noticed this problem recently. The screen flickers slightly, as if there was a change in brightness. I feel that the fact that when I reactive the screen for a while, then it's good. If I move the screen, it also happens that it stops. It's really strange. I did not ask info to Apple but I know it's not normal. I have Apple macbook with Core 2 duo support.

Go to System Preferences > Displays and then st the option to automatically adjust brightness to ambient light. The problem that many of you encounter is due to cable called LVDS Apple. It is a cable that goes from one side to the motherboard and the other side of the screen. This problem could also come from the card back light, but we have never met. The easiest way is any place your MacBook in an approved center.
