Internal Multi card reader not recognized Acer Aspire M3641 win 7 x64

I have recently bought a new Acer Aspire M3641 which has been powered by the Nvidia MCP73 Chipset and it contains Intel Quad core processor with 2.4ghz and RAM of 4Gb. It has been provided with an internal card reader which was working fine with the windows vista but since i have installed a windows 7 on this laptop, This OS has putted my card reader as an "Unknown Device" in Device Manager saying that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43 )".

You said that before installing the windows 7 on your laptop, You were using the windows vista on your notebook and your in built card reader was working perfectly. I think there could be some driver problems behind not recognizing of your card reader. I suggest you to go to the official web site of the Nvidia install the latest driver for your windows 7 operating system as you are using Nvidia MCP73 Chipset.

If your windows 7 operating system is not recognizing the card reader provided in your laptop then you may check for the hardware ID given in the system information. First of all go to the start menu and type msinfo32 in the search bar and click ok. In the section of Problem devices you can see all the IDs given to your hardware devices.

If anytime any of the hardware given in your laptop does not gets recognized by an operating system then the easiest way to solve this problem is to uninstall them so that your OS installs new drivers for your hardwares. You can use Mouse to do the following steps.
    • Click "Start", type in Device Manager the Search bar and press "Enter". Click Continue if necessary.
    • In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the "Host Controller", click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
    • Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers". Now restart your computer and Windows Vista will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.

Some of the additional information i have provided you to solve the problem of undetected hardware devices on your computer.
    • Restart your computer and switch all the devices in a working state.
    • Now type "cmd" in the search bar from the start menu to open dos prompt where you have to type "Logman start USBForumTrace -p Microsoft-Windows-USB-USBPORT -o USBForumTrace.etl -ets -nb 128 640 -bs 128"
    • Run another command as "Logman update USBForumTrace -p Microsoft-Windows-USB-USBHUB -ets -nb 128 640 -bs 128"
    • Suspend/resume a few times, or perform whatever other actions are necessary (besides a reboot) to get the device into the problem state.
    • After you have a repro, run this command from an elevated command prompt: Logman stop USBForumTrace -ets
    • Search on the machine for “USBForumTrace.etl”
