Sony DVD burner won't burn DVD but burns CDs

I am having the computer system with Sony DRU-500A DVD +/- RW. I am using it from four months, but from few few days I am getting some problems with this Sony DVD drive. I am not able to burn the DVD with this DVD burner, but it can burn the CD without any error. I am not getting how to solve this strange problem of my Sony DVD burner. If you have any solution over this problem, then please let me know that.
