    eco Utility Crashing

    Hello everyone,

I have a Toshiba provided laptop and the eco Utility is crashing without any unexpected activity and when I tried it to switch into eco Mode ON in the utility. The Power plan entered into the "eco" but the green indicator on the eco button doesn't turns on and the service and utility crash with the message "Error has occurred in TOSHIBA eco Utility. It will exit the application"

I performed the installation and Uninstallation of Vista 64bit application but didn't got any response and tried to install the 32 bit.Any idea about this ????

    eco Utility Crashing

    Hi,
I was also having the same problem too. Using x64. First, I performed the installation of x32 eco utility. It was applicable. Then after, I uninstall the recent installation and then installed with x64 eco utility.

The next installed file was downloaded from the official site of Toshiba, and it is not well running and shows the same error message. I have since uninstalled the x64 eco utility and install back x32 but the similar error alert window error.I completely format the installation and make a fresh installation and working fine.

You said well and I also performed all thing with the same manner but not getting succeed to do,What the procedure you have followed to do that.

I had only one error but now,I am getting one more error which is closely related to the eco utility from the Toshiba .I performed the uninstall of eco utility as well as uninstalled TVAP,and restarted the system and again performed a fresh installation of TVAP and eco utility.

The newer error is that I am unable to change the brightness of computer screen and according to me it is causes from the above suggested issues.

I got the solution for that. The logmein.com performs it's own installation its own monitor driver. I easily removed it from the device manager of the system.

Now after removing the monitor driver from the device manager, you need to perform the search of the device and the removing file would cause the error and then the device manager would move for default would be detected.
The Monitor was re-detected and the Microsoft Generic PnP Monitor Driver works fine.

I am very happy to got this. I also having the close problem related to the ecoUtility crashing and no screen brightness adjustments taking place during configuration.

And it does well after installing Logmein with the mirror drivers. I just uninstalled the mirror drivers from the device manager and set up the LMI for non-detection of the uninstalled utility and rebooted. Now,It is working well with from both of the problem.
