If you do not like how the buttons are arranged on your keyboard or if some special or conventional keys are useless to you, you can assign functions to another key of your choice by modifying the registry. It is possible to replace any key (eg Caps Lock) to behave like another (for example). But this operation is rather complicated since we must inform the Registry in Windows binary codes to change the keys and functions of binary codes to be used instead.

You can use the free SharpKeys. Simply select from a list or press the button to replace then to indicate the function to use instead a list or also by pressing the new key. The software will then be responsible for changes in the registry in a manner completely transparent to you. Of course, if the mapping of a button you are not satisfied, you can easily cancel and return operation and the original key.

With SharpKeys, you can define the new mapping for the keys on your keyboard. You can for example ensure that the Caps Lock key (Caps Lock) behaves like the enter key or Shift.
Double click the file SharpKeys.exe to launch the software and click OK. Then Click the Add button, Click the button type key to the left column. Press the button to replace and click OK. Then select in the right column to assign function to this button. You can also press the appropriate key by clicking on the button type key. Click OK. Add the same way other "redirects". Finally, click on the Write button to Registry. Click OK then Close. Restart your computer to apply the change.

If a mapping is not practical, you can easily cancel the operation and return the original key.
Start SharpKeys double clicking the file SharpKeys.exe located in the folder you unzipped. Select the mapping to remove and click the Delete button. Write to Registry Click on OK and then Close.
