    Specification of PopcornHour Multimedia box

    Hi,
If PopcornHour A-110 is one of the best multimedia packages of the moment The greatest points is that it fills the biggest shortcoming of the A-110 since it is the presence of an LCD. This is not only addition in the new box but there is something more related to media streaming and hd output. I need a entire specification of this player with connection and image support solution.

The new chip in the latest model of PopcornHour is 4x faster than the old. Firstly, the memory of the device is revised upwards with 512 MB 256 MB cons before. This should afford a more fluid. The decoder chip also changes and moves from an already excellent Sigma Designs 8635 to 8643. The decoded files remain the same (which is not bad) but the raw power of the chip increases considerably.

The best advantage of this new media player is that it is possible to insert a Blu-ray in the case. However, it is not explicitly said that the Blu-ray market, protected, can then be read. Note also the management of files submitted to Microsoft DRM (WMDRM-ND/PD). Side connections, however, changes are milder as one finds in HDMI 1.3, YUV, the RCA, S-Video optical and coaxial. The number of USB ports from 2 to 4 (2 front, 2 behind) and making the network evolves to gigabit speed (100 Mbit cons).

It continues with support for subtitles is very well managed through container but also via a separate file formats SRT, SUB, SSA and IDX. Finally, it ends with the display of images in JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF. Images of high resolution have not been a particular problem and it takes still between 3 and 4 seconds to zap a photo to another.

Very little known to the general public multimedia player PopCorn Hour A110 has a lot of talk over the Internet. Today, we offer the full test of its successor, the Model C-200. With a brand new chip for decoding audio and video, media player PopCorn Hour C-200 can play photos, videos and listen to music on his TV and audio system. It also allows access to Internet and more particularly to entertainment services online.

The connection of the device is fairly conventional. You will find the usual HDMI 1.3a, YPbPr, RCA, S-Video, optical and coaxial. In addition, there are no fewer than five USB Host connectors. Both are present at the rear, is present inside the device (for example to install only the options for BD-Live) and two are positioned at the front of the camera. A smart investment that avoids returning the unit to plug a USB key or external hard drive.
