Webcam not working while using with Windows live messager 9 in Windows XP

i can't use the webcam to chat
i tried that it is not router and firewall problems coz my other computer is work
my other computer( vista + window live messager 9 )

When i chat in webcam, it can show any thing (only show 'X' )

When i only open my webcam to chat, it close by itself. And have not any error code (it only said that window live messager has a problem, it must to close)

There can be many reason behind this unusual behavior of your webcam. It can either be caused due to problems with your window live messager 9, or either with your webcam hardware or with your webcam driver. So first i would recommend you to uninstall your current version of Window Live Messenger from your system and then download the latest available version of it from internet and install it in your system. Then install the necessary drivers for your webcam by using the original drivers CD and then check whether the problem still exists or not. If nothing is solving your issue then i fear that your webcam must have got corrupted. In that case you will have to send your webcam for replacement or repairning as per the condition.
