LG DVD-RW is not able to burn anything

I am having the LG DVD-RW Rom installed in my computer system and the problem is that, This LG DVD-RW Rom is not able to burn any disc. This drive cannot burn any type of the disc. CD/DVD/DATA CD,DVD/MP3 etc. when i try to burn the disc from this drive then the process starts properly. But after 2-3 minutes of the start the process stops by giving some error. When i try to urn again on the same disc the problem comes that the media is not empty please insert the blank disc to proceed.

So you are having the LG DVD-RW rom in your computer system and you are getting the burning problem with this Rom. You are not able to burn any type of the disc but this rom is able to read all types of the discs. According to me after looking at your problem this is the problem related to the lens of the LG DVD-RW. The writing lens is may be not working properly. So clean the lens of the DVD Rom using the lens cleaning disc. Many times damaged or the bad lens not able to write on the disc but they read the disc very well.

Re: LG DVD-RW is not able to burn anything

You have also mentioned in your problem that once you are using the blank disc and the process stops. So after this if you are using the same disc for burning the windows shows that this disc cannot be used because this is not the blank disc. So that disc is of no use if the process fails. This problem can be related with the application which you are using for the burning process for all the types of the discs. May be the reinstallation of the same application will fix up this problem of your LG DVD-RW Rom drive.

It is possible that the whole lens or the any pert of the LG DVD-RW Rom is not working according to its work type that is why this DVD drive is not able to burn the disc of any type.Check this DVD-RW drive in other system. If getting the same problem then the ROM is not working. Now it is better to change the DVD-RW Rom of your computer system. Because i dont think so any one can solve this problem of the LG DVD-RW by repairing it.

The burning process also depends on the software application which you are using for the Writing purpose. If you are not using the latest Nero application for this. Then i will recommend you to download and install the nero applications to burn the disc from the LG DVD-RW Rom. Because it might possible that the software which you are using is not proper or it is damaged/corrupted. In this case uninstall this application from the computer system and install the latest Nero application in your system.

Re: LG DVD-RW is not able to burn anything

If you have checked your DVD ROM with other computer system and it is working fine then this is clearly the problem of some software of your computer system. Restoring the computer to the previous date on which this drive was working properly will fix this problem. Run the system restore process from the control panel and select the date on which the system was working properly without any problems and restore that setting. After that you will be able to burn the all types of disc from this LG DVD-RW ROM.
