Network controller problem - dell inspiron 1525

Currently I'm connected to the internet using an ethernet cable. But soon I will be changing to wireless.
Yet I cannot connect to wireless. I had to reboot my laptop several months ago and have been connected to the internet using ethernet ever since.
Now when I try to connect wirelessly nothing happens, and im told I have no wireless network device.

In device manager under network adapters I only have my ethernet controller showing up.
And under 'other devices', Network Controller shows up yellow-flagged.

Using an unknown devices application I discovered that this is apparently what I need : Broadcom Corp BCM4310 USB Controller.

I need my internet connection to work wirelessly in the next day or so, so please help. Ask any questions etc

Can you tell me what operating system you have used. Because in Linux it should be b43 drivers for the 802.11 B/G family of wireless on your system. This may create as such problem. May be that time you have loaded Ethernet drivers on your system, it corrupt the wireless drivers.

I think your wireless driver of your laptop may be uninstalled or not installed properly. So you should installed the wireless LAN drivers from your resource CD/DVD at your laptop. You can also download from dell official website. If you found any issue again please reply.

You should install WLAN drivers from your resource CD/DVD which is come from your laptop. The steps is as follows: Open the windows device manager then right click on Network controller under other devices then select properties. After that select the driver tab and click on update driver button. A window will pop up then select browse my computer for driver software from them. The path of the driver should be your resource DVD. This will automatically install the WLAN driver from your CD and after that restart the Laptop. Best of luck.
