Canon PIXMA MX328 printer not working with Windows 7

My Canon PIXMA MX328 printer is not working with Windows 7. But it was working with Windows XP and Windows Vista. Before installing Windows 7 I had Windows Vista operating system. And I had no issues with my Canon printer. Yesterday I purchased the licensed genuine Windows 7 home premium 64-bit opearting system. But after installing this Windows is not detecting my Canon printer. I am unable to print with my Canon printer.

If in case your printer is not able to print even after giving the print command in Windows 7 then first make sure that the printer cartridge is not empty. Also make sure that you had installed all the files of Windows 7. If you have just installed Windows 7 very recently, then my suggestion is to re-install Windows again and make sure all the files are installed correctly for detecting the Canon printer.

May the drivers for the printer are not updated. You should first update the drivers for your Canon PIXMA printer. The process is as follows:

1. Go to Control Panel.
2. System And Maintenance.
3. Device Manager.
4. Browse to your Printer Device and double click for which you want to upgrade the drivers.
5. Go to the Tab- Driver
6. Click on Update Driver.

Now see if your printer is working. If not then contact Canon as the problem might be with your Canon Printer.

Start from the basics. First check the physical connection. When I had bought the new HP Compaq desktop, it failed to detect my HP printer. But the printer was detected by my old computer. My computer technician told me to check the physical connection and after re-connecting the HP printer to my HP Compaq desktop it was detected easily.

Try to update your printer driver. Sure then it will work.
