    Suggetions for cd/dvd rom

Hello my desktop computer is not showing the CD\DVD drive in my computer. My computer is not showing the icons from last few days. I have checked in my system hardware and the error comes up saying that windows is unable to load device driver for this driver. What can i do for solving this problem? Please give me the solution for this problem as soon as possible.

First of all check the connection of the CD?DVD drive. It is properly connected to your system or not. If it is not connected to your system then properly connect it and if it is connected then also it is not shown in my computer remove the CD or DVD rom and connect it again by cleaning its port properly.
I then also it does not works then change the port of the rom meaning that connect the rom to another vacant slot.

If your system is not able to detect your cd or dvd rom then firstly check your CD or DVD rom that it is working properly or not. You can simply do it by connecting your ROM to another desktop. If it is detected on another system then your rom is working fine and it may the problem of the IDE cable. So, please chage your IDE cable. Chage the IDE cable of your system and connect the CD or DVD rom to your system.

This problem mostly arise when more than one rom is connected to the system. When you connect more than one roms to the system then the operating system sometimes fails to find primary slave and secondary slave. It may be the possibility that you have connected the rom to the secondary slave. You can change the slaves of the roms from the BIOS according to your choice. You can change the bios setting by pressing F8 when the system boots.
